Pandemic Policy Trust, Compliance Behavior, and Neighborhood Survey Panels: Registry Analysis

The widespread implementation of non-pharmaceutical interventions during recent global public health crises has underscored the critical role of citizen compliance in mitigating pandemic outcomes. This paper presents a comprehensive registry analysis investigating the intricate dynamics between pandemic policy trust and compliance behavior within neighborhood survey panels. By linking longitudinal survey responses with administrative registry data across diverse socio-demographic contexts, the study uncovers the structural and psychological determinants of adherence to public health mandates. The research design leverages a multi-wave neighborhood panel approach, capturing real-time fluctuations in institutional trust alongside self-reported and registry-verified compliance metrics. Findings indicate a robust, positive correlation between local institutional trust and sustained compliance behavior, with neighborhood social capital acting as a significant moderating variable. Furthermore, the analysis reveals that policy stringency yields diminishing returns on compliance when baseline trust levels are compromised by inconsistent governmental communication. This research advances the theoretical understanding of institutional trust in crisis management and provides actionable insights for policymakers to design community-tailored, resilient public health strategies that foster voluntary adherence.References
